About Me

Hi, I’m Chelsea.  I’m an artist, an elementary art teacher, a mother of two, a crafter, a seamstress, a baker, a chef, a lesson planner, a DIYer, a decorator, and many more things.  I don’t claim to be a specialist in any one thing, as all of creating interests me.

My teaching philosophy (when it comes to children) is process over product. My art classroom utilizes the curriculum of Teaching for Artistic Behavior. This gives students the time and space to work with their own ideas.

I firmly believe that everyone is able to create, whether it is baking a loaf of bread, choosing coordinating fabric and paint, painting your nails, or arranging flowers.  The everyday art that matters most.

  1. Hi, I am a K-12 art teacher. I wanted to ask if I can use your images of the unicorn print and blocks in a PowerPoint presentation to show examples of a printing block, proof, and print.

    Sincerely,

    Kristin Jones

    1. Hi Kristin, yes you may! Thanks for asking. Good luck – I love teaching my students about printmaking – sometimes challenging but so rewarding.
